Proof that there is a God after all ...

Or, at least there's one for the longsuffering baseball fans on Washington, DC

Indulge me, if you will ...

Not even a week after God shined his face upon the beloved boys of Boston once again, the turf is going in at the new Washington Nationals stadium here in DC. The Nats have spent three years in purgatory (also known as RFK Stadium) and will move into their new digs next spring.

Speaking of which, our pal Rocco Palmo reports that the pope's (still unofficial) visit to DC will feature a Mass at the new stadium -- one week after it opens -- rather than on the National Mall.

Stay tuned ...

Here's a theological question for ya: Why is God all of a sudden a Red Sox fan?

Sincerely,
