Huckabee courts Catholics

Reuters reports that Mike Huckabee is seeking Catholic support to build on his supposed Evangelical base.

The former Arkansas governor's "mix of economic populism and social conservatism" would certainly go over well at the Vatican and with most of the American Catholic hierarchy.

Their biggest area of disagreement would probably be over Iraq. Church leaders opposed the U.S.-led invasion, whereas Huckabee is as hawkish as any of his GOP rivals.
