University: Pagan Students Can be Excused for Holidays

Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., may have gone where no school has gone before: It's specifically excusing pagan students from class when they want to observe religious holidays, the Associated Press reports. The school's dean of students says it's a matter of respect. Students must fill out a written request when they want to observe a festival or holiday.
